Trump and Harris agree to debate on ABC on September 10, according to the network

**Trump and Harris Set to Debate on ABC on September 10**

Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are scheduled to debate on ABC on September 10, following the former president's announcement on Thursday that he has agreed to participate in this debate, along with two others next month.

"ABC News will host qualifying presidential candidates for a debate on September 10," the network confirmed in a statement. "Vice President Harris and former President Trump have both confirmed their participation in the ABC debate."

During a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Trump expressed his eagerness to debate Harris and mentioned that he has also agreed to debate dates with Fox News, ABC, and NBC.

"I believe debates are crucial, and we've agreed with Fox for September 4. We've also reached an agreement with NBC, pending some final details, for September 10. Additionally, we've agreed with ABC for September 25," Trump said.

Both a senior Trump adviser and a source from ABC familiar with the situation confirmed the correct debate dates as September 4 with Fox News, September 10 with ABC, and September 25 with NBC.

Trump noted that some "minor details" are still under negotiation, including audience and locations. "The other side needs to agree to the terms. They may or may not agree. I don't know if they'll agree. Harris hasn't done an interview. She's barely competent, and she can't do an interview. I'm looking forward to the debates because I think we need to set the record straight," he stated.

Harris, who had previously committed to the ABC debate, later confirmed her participation on Thursday and expressed her willingness to discuss additional debates.

"I'm pleased that he's finally agreed to a debate on September 10th. I'm looking forward to it, and I hope he shows up," Harris told reporters before boarding Air Force Two in Detroit after an event with the United Auto Workers.

When asked if she would consider the other debates mentioned by Trump, Harris replied, "I'm open to having that conversation about an additional debate after September 10th."

Trump and former President Joe Biden had initially agreed to the ABC debate before Biden withdrew from the race. Earlier this week, Trump stated that he would not debate Harris if she did not agree to participate in the proposed Fox News debate on September 4.

An ABC source previously expressed confidence that the network's debate would be the first between Trump and Harris, as the Harris campaign had indicated she would not participate in the Fox News debate.

A source familiar with the NBC negotiations mentioned that September 25 was "one of the dates" proposed to the campaigns. While discussions with both camps have been ongoing, the Harris campaign has not yet formally accepted the NBC debate.

Details regarding the debate's location, rules, and moderators will be finalized closer to the event.
